Story Time!

So, my co-worker and I are talking about his teenage girls(Step daughters) the other day. About how they are being snotty and ungrateful...basically teenage girls.

He was telling me about how the girls these days are really different from when he was in high school. He then tells me this story about his SD's friend that is no longer allowed to come over.

Apparently he was sitting in the front room, they were talking, he wasn't really listening and then this GIRL (she is 14!) says "I really need a man that's like 10-20 years older than me to teach me how to f***" While staring straight at my co-worker.

W.T.F

He said he was a deer caught in the headlights. His wife luckily overheard her and came in the room and said "I think it's time for us to have a little talk..." and diffused the situation while my co-worker high tailed it out of there.

What the hell. When I was 14 I BARELY understood what sex even WAS. Like I barely even understood the logistics of it. Granted, I'm not claiming I was innocent in college, but 14?

This reinforces my earlier statement that KR will live in a bubble until college...

Re: Story Time!

  • That is horrifying and really, really sad.  I wonder what kind of influences the girl must have had to prompt her to say something like that.  Regardless, she would no longer be welcome in my home either, and I would most certainly be talking to her parents.  14 is way, way too young to be talking like that.

  • This is what happens when pre-teens are allowed to read Fifty Shades of Grey (yes, witnessed that the other day and nearly had a heart attack). No, but really everything seems to happen earlier now and kids know way too much. Fourth graders at school seem to know about what I figured out in middle school.

Maybe I'm overreacting, Reenie, but that sounds like child abuse to me!

  • I was still innocent at 14 but not naive... I had friends that were having sex in middle school with guys that were in high school. I also went to school with a girl that had her first child in 7th grade and her second in 9th. I couldn't imagine we didn't see her after she got pregnant the first time but I ended up working at a daycare after high school that her kids went to. I really don't like that she is looking for an older guy. oh and if it was my daughter I would freak out.

    That's EXACTLY what I said.

I'm sorry, I can't even imagine those words coming out of my mouth and saying that to my friend's father. 1.) GROSS 2.) Gross.
