Bridal Shower Venue Recs?

Hi Ladies -

I'm helping throw a bridal shower for my brother's fiancee next April and am trying to come up with ideas for a good venue.  I live in the Cranberry area and we're looking in that area or a bit north of that and I seriously can't think of much.  We're hoping to keep the venue at around $10/person since there's other costs on top of that.  We're going to have 35 people max.

I've got menu requests in at The Johnston House (a tea room) and Springfield Grille.  Atria's has their menu online as does Cranberry Highlands.

Anything else you can think of?  Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks!

Re: Bridal Shower Venue Recs?

  • My friend had her bridal shower at Atrias in Cranberry and it was awesome. The service was fantastic, the food was great, and I loved the room that they had set aside for us. It was in the back and away from the main dining room. The way they set up the tables made it easy to see everyone who was there. There was a small buffet in the back of fruit and cheese while we waited for people to arrive. I think she had about 20-30 people there and it was comfortable to move around, open gifts, etc. I don't know how much it cost since it was hosted by her MIL, but I heard it was pretty reasonable.

  • We have used Atria's in Wexford on a couple occassions and the PNC location and they were both fantastic. I do believe it is a bit over your budget, but we were really happy with them.

There is the Walnut Grille in Wexford, Kaufmann House in Zelionople, The Harmony Inn, Echo.

If you know anyone who is a member of Treesdale you could look there or if you know anyone who lives there, they have a really nice community center

  • my sister is having her baby shower at the Marriott in Cranberry (on 228).  I have no clue how much it costs, but it is pretty nice!

  • I love Springfield....we live right near it but their party room seems really small for 35.  Ive been there for events with 25 people and that seems a perfect fit.  Their menu is doable for $10pp (salads, sandwiches, small pasta are around $8 and very large/filling) so factor in drinks and tax/tip, you'd be slightly over $10

  • The Chadwick in Wexford is really nice, too. They have all different size rooms, and they have great event planners. I had my wedding reception there, and my baby shower will be there as well.

I most always attend events at the Chadwick on "off" days because I have never had a good experience there.

  • What about Shakespears? Its up kinda by Ellwood City but it is so nice there. Ive also been to a shower at Bravos. There is a tea place near Cranberry but I cannot seem to remember the name of it. I believe it is on 228.

  • Just an FYI about Bravo, they do not have a private room. They just block off part of the dining room and if you have a larger group it gets really crowded.
