What to do over labor Day weekend?
My bday is sept 2 and it's Labor Day weekend this year and it's a big birthday for me. John got his cousin to watch Brooks for a night, but she lives outside of Baltimore. I suggested we go to DC for the night there are 2 museums I want to visit and a ton of restaurants I want to try. But he thinks it's too far. I think he'll come around, but I'm taking other suggestions in the mean time.

JRM mentioned to me a wine/music event down at ChaddsFord Winery that weekend. Not sure about the details.
Or what about hanging out in Baltimore if that's where his cousin lives?

We spent 3 days in B'more last summer, since I had never spent any real time there.
I can suggest staying away from center city. The Made in America tour is Saturday and Sunday on the parkway. Hotels are already pretty much sold out and the city will be packed.
when i went for a jump interview there looked like that had a cute down town. maybe they have a fancy restaurant or two.
Oh sweet Jesus. The Baltimore Grand Prix is Labor Day weekend and the cars/track run through the downtown and harbor areas. I will pray to a good and kind lord for you that whoever is watching your baby doesn't live anywhere near there.
We went to it last year b/c my sis lives near the harbor. It was so fun but traffic was a nightmare and major major sections of the roads are closed off.
Also, DC on Labor day weekend can be crowded and traffic is ungodly awful.
Don't wanna be a bummer, but want you to be prepared!
