I am thankful for my car. I will have had it 13 years next weekend (Labor Day.) It has given me comfort and safety over the years and is allowing me to take my time looking for a new one as it still runs well.
I am thankful for sleeping in. (Trying to enjoy and relax as much as I can since these are days that are eating into next summer.)
I am thankful for my calorie counting app on my phone (fitness pal.) I have been counting calories for the last week and have lost a few pounds. I just need to keep it up!
I am thankful for you girls. I enjoy getting to know you girls, reading about your lives, and posting.
As always, thankful for the health of myself, family, and friends!
Re: Thankful Thursday
I am really thankful for one particular friend I have today. She has stuck with me and really supported me while I hunt for teaching jobs (that aren't readily available in central Ohio). When I feel like a failure, she always will talk me back up and I can tell she really cares.
I am thankful that her husband is paying me to work on his food truck this week when substitute teaching jobs haven't picked up yet. He is paying me probably too much for 3 and a half hours of work. But I am so thankful my DH and I have a little bit of an income since he is in dental school and we have been stretching our savings thin this summer.
my read shelf:
I'm thankful that I have a full time job.
I'm also thankful that the majority of my classes have been awesome this week.
I am thankful that I have a teaching job at a great school.
I am thankful that my mom's eye surgery went well and there were no complications.
Hoping that I'll be thankful to have a fun/restful weekend before the first official day of school!
I am thankful for my sister who, because of her awesome talent, landed a spot in the NCA cheer group who performs at major parades and thus we are getting to go to Disney yet again this year. It's been a real pick-me up to think about going to my favorite place while I've been dealing with changes at work, my thesis and a very stressful band camp.
I am thankful for baby kisses and the "MAMA!!" I hear when Sam comes to visit at rehearsal on lunch or dinner break, that her sitter was willing to watch her during camp for me, and that she gives such great hugs.
I am thankful for our little bean. I had an u/s on Tuesday and the baby's personality was coming through already.
I am thankful for my DH. He is consistently wonderful and just such a blast to be married to.
I am thankful for summers off during the first tri. It made the exhaustion much easier to deal with.
On a side night, I am NOT thankful for waking up at 4:54 to pee and never falling asleep again!
