The man that gave me my pedicure today did an amaaaaaazing job. I was really enjoying myself. When he started rubbing my calves, I kind of thought it felt weird...not bad, but weird. I looked down to see that his left has was missing every single finger except his pinky. It totally threw me off and I felt kind of squicky after I noticed it. I got over it pretty quick and felt like a total diicck...and really wanted to ask him what happened. Then I felt like an azzhole for thinking it was my business to ask. So I didn't. And now I can't quit thinking about what could have happened. Random thoughts by boymom bored and laying in bed.
Re: I'm an azzhole
I would've done the same exact thing. And probably gone through the same exact emotions.
OULaw, that response is hilarious! What did the person say/do?
my bookshelf!
Bloggy
Yes - he just tells him he was born like that. It doesn't bother him. Little kids always want to hold his hand. It is interesting because he's met several people his age with the same birth defect and most of their moms worked in a hospital setting (DH's mom was a nurse at the time). There was a study indicating the soap used at certain hospitals may have lead to birth defects but nothing was proven.
