H and I have been living on one small salary for almost a year now because I had to student teach for 6 months sans pay (oh the life a teacher) and then acquire a job, on top of paying for the wedding. It's been an adventure.
I get my first paycheck Sept. 21st, but these past few months have been killing me. Plus my job is so fluid that things could change in January at the drop of a hat.
So ends my rant...I hate bills.

Hey Melissa!
I just realized, you live like 30 minutes from me. I guess it took you saying Philly for me to realize that....hahaha
My bill rant for the week:
In my 10 year history of paying bills, I've never made a single late payment...until now. Apparently the e-mail for my car payment somehow either accidentally got archived or bypassed my inbox, so I never made a payment last month. So I get a double bill for this month's payment, and a $10 late charge.
The cherry on top of the cake is that in my 10 years of having a checking account (and even longer with a savings) I have never overdrafted once. Since we are savers and not spenders, H and I have been lazy about separating our money into checkings/savings accounts since the wedding since we don't spend it anyways. So our savings account was just sitting nearly empty. On the car payment website I have it set up with my bank. The account is "Sam and Eric's checking, XXX-XXXX-XXX-9999". So I go to pay my LATE car payment (already panicky about it being reported on my credit report). Well, turns out it is actually linked to our savings account somehow...so on top of my late car payment I OVERDRAFTED! I don't think I ever noticed it because we had all of our wedding savings in our savings account so there was always money.
Eric noticed it immediately, so I was able to transfer funds and it all turned out okay...but I have been a financial failure this week =[
