JCPenney coupons?

I know JCPenney redid their strategy with coupons and sales.  I don't shop there too often but there is a lamp I'd like to get for my DD's room but it's $100 and am hoping to find a deal if I can.  I haven't seen the price change yet.  Does anyone know if there are any coupon codes out there, ever?  Or should I just suck it up and pay full price?

Thanks!

Re: JCPenney coupons?

  • Unfortunately as part of their new strategy, JC Penney got rid of ALL of their coupons. Even if you did manage to find a code or coupon somewhere, I doubt any store would actually accept it because there aren't supposed to be any out there. I suppose the only coupons left out there are the rewards coupons you get for being a JCP rewards member. I don't know if you are one or not but this is a good way to save money without having their credit card.

You can sign up online and attach it to a debit card so every time you use your debit card, you get points. The great thing about the rewards program is that the coupons you get can be combined with other coupons. So if you have three rewards coupons, you can use them all together. I worked at Penney's for almost two years before I quit and that's honestly the best strategy I can think of.

Earning points for the rewards program is fairly easy now because points can be earned by buying clearance items (a.k.a "Best Value" items) too. I really wish Penney's had kept it's old way of doing things but if they think this is best, that's just how it's going to go.

    Hope any of this helps.
