It feels so good to be productive. Today I have been feeling pretty good physically but my head was bothering (weather getting to me). I just pushed through with the help of H. We had a nice productive and relaxing day. Did some much needed gardening and cleaning on our porch. Went to the grocery store and organized the drawers/ cabinets in our bathroom (we have a lot). I even was up to cooking dinner. Love days like this.
What is everyone else up to?
Re: Being productive
That's great to hear that you have been feeling a bit better!
I have been trying to get stuff done, but it's pretty much impossible. We are updating our kitchen and it's a mess. Right now we are working on updating our electric. GAHHHHH So we have been working on digging up the backyard and it's just not going well. We are supposed to be working on it again this afternoon after my parents get out of Church. Good news though, my mom called me and said she needs my help this afternoon, so that's good bc I can hardly move my fingers right now....and I start training at my new job at 4 tonight... sigh...
And to top it all off? I start school again tomorrow... taking 5 classes, so this should be fun!
Yesterday, DH and I took our 3 year old niece to the apple orchard. She loved it and was very good! I got some awesome pictures of her picking apples. She had a great day and fell asleep on the way home...which made her mommy happy :-)
Last night we went and got sushi, which was really good. There's only certain ones I'll still eat - it's still a whole new experience for me :-)
Today, I need to be productive, but yet, it's still 9:30am and I'm just waking up! I need to pick up the house, do some laundry, and go to the gym. DH is working, so let's see how much of that I get done!

Yesterday H and I went to Sam's to stock up on stuff we've been needing to stock up on. We got a nice run in as well that morning. Then we topped off the night with a dinner date to one of our favorite restaurants.
Today, we'll be securing any possible "projectile" items in the yard and get some cleaning around the house in, as we prepare to feel the effects of Isaac. I just wish all these newscasters would stop talking about this week is the 7th anniversary of Katrina. We don't need a reminder around here, we'll never forget it.
Our apartment complex sent us a letter saying to remove any objects "that can become missiles" from our porch.
I need some of your productivity. I need to re-do lesson plans for this week and start on next week's. If I get it all done today I can relax a little this week. This past week I changed everything I planned once I met the kids and all my free time at home was updating my lesson plans. I don't want to do that again...
Thinking of you guys that live down in Florida and along the Gulf! Makes me remember our honeymoon...when Hurricane Rita (I think??) was coming up along Cancun. It was intense seeing all the workers prepare for it...luckily it was was only a tropical storm when it hit, but it was definitely intense (and quite boring) that night since we had to stay in our rooms and the TV was out!
Dee - how's the school year going?

I will be praying for ya'll. Stay safe you guys. I hope it turns out to be an uneventful storm. I really do.
I will take a hurricane over a tornado any day. At least with a hurricane you get a chance to prepare (aka secure any projectiles) and leave if you want/can.
Thanks. I just left work. It's crazy the amount of people still going in for surgery. 3 out of my 5 cases for the day called and cancelled and we've cancelled all elective surgeries for Tues and Wed. Tornadoes were my biggest fear up until Hurricane Katrina when my apt complex got hit by one. So, you're never really safe from tornadoes. H and I are sticking it out here at home. We're well stocked and ready to get this over with.
I'm sure it's starting to get real crazy down there. Hoping it downgrades even further! Thinking of everyone that lives down there!
