In today's mail I got a thick envelope from the school I used to teach at. I was wondering what it could be. When I opened it up I was so surprised to see two cards from former students! Inside one was a $10 gift card to Wawa ( a convience store) and inside the other one was a $15 gift card to Starbucks. But the gifts aren't important, it's the words. The one card is from 3 girls. It has a picture of a little girl crying and it says, "I'm not good at good-byes so let's just pretend we're playing hide-and-seek...and you're going to be real hard to find. We'll miss you." Then they all signed their names and wrote something little. The 7th grader wrote, " You were so cool and nice. You made it so fun! No teacher can replace you!" Wow, what awesome words to hear!
It makes me so happy to know that I have that kind of affect on children.
