CC Restaurant Week

Where's everyone headed?  They usually do this the week of our anniversary, but it is later this year.  There are so many places I want to try, but between my diminished liking for food right now (other than carbs- this kid is definetly part Italian!) and being unable/afraid to eat a lot of things, I have no idea where we will end up.

Re: CC Restaurant Week

  • We aren't going anywhere this year, but last year we went to Tinto.  We left pretty hungry since it was tapas style.  The food was good, but not something I'd go out of my way for again.

One year we went to this place in Chinatown that no one had heard of and it was really good - I want to say it was Tazia?  It was maybe more of an Asian-fusion type of place (definitely not authentic), but we had a good meal and lots of options to pick from.  I like options.  I remember they had these really tasty mini lambchops...yum.

  • So far, I have a reservations for Zahav and Jamonera. Zahav is always one of my favorites, and it doesn't skimp on the menu/experience even for RW.
  • We will pass on it this year too, as my birthday is this weekend and we are splurging on it instead.

  • I think we're finally done with Restaurant Week.  We usually order (2) entrees & (1) app when we go out, and even at pricier places, that runs no more than $75-80.  At least we can pick what we actually want, and not be limited to a smaller menu and a dessert we have no interest in.
