Okay, is it just me or have the other pregnant ladies out there had crazy amounts of cramping while in the first trimester? I read that menstrual like cramps are normal, but I'm getting them every day and almost always in the late evening and over night. They're killing my sleep and I'm so exhausted to begin with, it's not really helping!
Re: Pregnancy - cramps
Hmmmm, while it's not overly painful, it is painful. But more of a mild pain. A heating pad helps right away. I've read though that I can't really slap the heating pad right on my abdomen, so I'm lying with it very low on my stomach (basically on my bikini line), just for some relief. Within 5 minutes of that, I'm good though.
I don't have an OB-GYN appointment until early October though, which is frustrating. I do have an ultrasound through my genetics doc in a couple weeks though, so we can at least see how things are progressing.
Thanks! The most I've had is one weird, very painful spasm, but it lasted for a couple seconds and other than that, I'm not too bad. I'll see how the next week goes and then maybe try phoning. I figure if I have the cramps at night and sickness during the day I'm going to be a very unhappy lady, but so far I'm feeling good during the day.
No date set for the ultrasound just yet, but doc's assistant told me it would be soon as they need the u/s to confirm dates before I go for cvs testing.
I was pretty crampy in the beginning. As long as it isn't accompanied by bleeding, it should be okay.
Now I just seem to get weird "wave" pains higher up as everything grows. It's kind of like a flutter... but definitely not a baby flutter. Just things moving around.
