H and I have to go to a Christening on Sunday for our friends new baby.
I have no idea what to give her/them. My usual gift is a savings bond, but I'm a little late for that. I don't really want to give cash either since it seems strange to give cash to a baby (at least the savings bond would be in the baby's name and wouldn't be used until she was older)
Do I go to a religious store of some kind (not even sure where I'd go) and get something there? Rosary beads? Children's bible?
Or should I get a nice frame? piggy bank? something personalized from Things Remembered or something??
Help...please!

Re: Christening Gift?
I also considered getting a few things from the registry that were not fulfilled...but that seems weird, right?
I just am worried that they'll get a crap load of typical gifts (rosay beads, frames, bibles, etc) and I'd like to give them something they/the baby can actually use.

My go to for religious gifts is willow tree...they are beautiful wood carved angels for pretty much any occasion, without being too 'religious' as you don't know yet how the child will grow up...(and are sold at most christian book stores)

What about a cross necklace? Is it a boy or girl....Or I love the idea of the personalized something...maybe a piggy bank or a picture frame.

My go to is always Things Remembered. Depending on religion I usually buy the piggy bank and then put some bills in it because they are so pretty there and a child can always use a piggy bank. My 3 year-old niece loves hers. Especially since she likes hearing the coins drop in it! I also like the personalized frame. I always feel like you can never have to many frames for a family.
