Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Accountability Thread

I know we had talked about starting this a while ago. Anyone still up for it?

 B: cereal, milk; iced coffee

L: emily bites "nacho taco bake" served over lettuce

D: cook out w/ cross country team after their home meet

S: string cheese, peach

A: walk/run intervals

    B: Animal crackers on my drive to work(I only did 13 which is the serving size) 

    L: Turkey sandwich in a whole wheat pita pocket

    D: Meatball subs (hopefully H will remember to pick up whole wheat buns)

    S: Assorted Veggies

    A: Hopefully a run after work, before H gets home and possibly weights at the gym late.

  • I need to lose a few pounds, so I'll join, too. 

    B: vanilla yogurt, a banana, and a buttered honey grain bagel

    L: leftover pasta, a granola bar, and a banana

    D: one chicken and rice quesadilla (usually do two) and a salad. Probably some chocolate for dessert. 

    S: none. H thinks snacking is bad tries to stop me from snacking whenever he can.

    A: went for a walk at lunch. Planning to do upper body medicine ball exercises tonight.

  • Yeah I keep telling him that healthy snacks aren't bad, but he keeps saying how the only time he gains weight is when he snacks. I keep saying that he is a guy and he has Crohn's so his body acts differently than mine. He even thought that a banana with my breakfast this morning was a bit much! While I appreciate him trying to help me lose some weight, I know what I need to do to lose it better than he does...

    I'll be honest, though, there aren't many fruits and veggies I like, so snaks usually end up being something processed and it doesn't change my meal size for any meals, which is a problem.

     what about part skim string cheese as a snack? sometimes not snacking between meals can leave you starving for your next meal and you can over eat
