The anticipation is killing me...!

H and I went to look at a house last night for the first time and we immediately fell in love with it! We knew pretty much from the moment we walked in that this is our house.  It has everything we want on paper plus so much more in person! I couldn't believe it was in our price range!  It was kept in amazing condition by the older couple that built it in 1991 and they have been the only owners since. We couldn't even find a mark on the wall let alone something significantly wrong with it.  We left the showing and went right to the realtor's office to make an offer and it was actually over their asking because we asked for seller's assistance. We won't hear back until 8pm tonight or so. I haven't been able to focus all day at work because I'm so excited to hear back!! ahh!!

Did you guys just know that your house was the one when you walked in?  I feel like this is kinda rare but I'm super pumped. Thanks so much for the advice on the last house situation - I appreciate you guys listening. :-)

  • That is amazing! I am so excited for you! Let us know what you hear tonight!

When I looked at the house I am now trying to sell, I was sold the momen I walked in. I KNEW it was my house! I dont know if that is rare or not, but that is exactly how I felt!

  • Thanks! I def will!!

Maybe I thought it was rare because I haven't felt that way about a house yet.  It was crazy just walking in and knowing that it's our house.  With the last offer we put on a house we took around 3-4 showings of it. It was like I was trying to convince myself that this was our house and I was settling. So not the case with this one!

  • When I walked into what is now our house for the first time, I keep walking around saying, "That's so cool!". The back story on the house is that it was on the market for 2 years when we first viewed it. Supposely, it was a little too odd or creatively decorated for most people. It had also had been added onto alot and had varied levels of floor. They took our offer which was 40,000 less then their inital asking price and 10,000 less then the asking when we put in the offer.
  • I can't wait to hear about the response to your offer!
