I'm officially out of nesting ideas.
Today is my due date. My house is spotless. I baked a cake. This is annoying.
Re: I'm officially out of nesting ideas.
That's a good problem to have!
Try to relax, if you can.
My only other suggestion is to go through your email and clean that out.
It won't be another 2 weeks. They will induce me a week from now if I don't go on my own before then.
I am relaxed! This is the problem - the school year has started and I am not there. I even went to 2 days of faculty meetings this week as a distraction.
Cleaning out my email is a good suggestion - thanks! I already created a draft email with all the contacts already in it for when the baby is born...that way we can just upload a picture, type in the pertinent info and click send.
I'm watching A Baby Story now in hopes that my uterus will be inspired.
Good luck!
I'd do anything right now to lay on the couch under a blanket with the a/c on, and watch a movie or some Keeping Up with the Kardashian-type crappy shows. I think that's what you should do!
Do whatever you're not going to be able to do easily with an infant, and by that I mean anything and everything. Take a long shower, eat with both hands, etc. That baby will be here before you know it, even though it probably doesn't feel like it now.

Did that a few weeks ago. I even made muffins and froze them individually.
Typically I would go and just wander through Target, but I always end up spending way too much money in there...and my paychecks have stopped so we are in budget-watch mode.
I have a dr appt later today do depending on my progress, I may use my Living Social pedicure afterwards...or save it for tomorrow.
As of Monday I was 80% effaced, 1.5 cm and she could feel the head. Gross.
LOL. I've never given birth but based on what my sister has told me, that's the least of the "grossness factor" you're about to encounter.
Also go to the movies!
And a fancy dinner with your husband. We went and splurged at PARC right before n was born it was amazing.
I agree with all of these ideas and will add....what about all those useless projects around the house you never get around to? Like....cleaning out your tupperware cupboard, organizing photos/files on your computer, write personal notes/cards to friends and mail them--no one sends mail anymore and its fun to get mail from friends, clean out your closet to ensure that you have variety of sizes on hand to get you through the wonky weeks to come of being too small for your maternity clothes but too big for your regular clothes etc.
If I were you Id also be making lunch dates with all my working friends so I could have something to look forward to every day. If youre watching your budget, maybe a "pack a lunch and meet a friend in a park to eat it" date instead!
Or learn how to crochet the baby an adorable pumpkin hat for halloween.
Happy due date. Enjoy the down time.
If you can hold out until tomorrow, we can go clubbing in AC on Friday night and dance the kid out.
Happy due date! Good luck at your appointment.
I think I'd do stuff outside the house as much as possible. You'll be able to do stuff inside the house after the baby is born. I know it's different b/c my kid was born in the middle of winter, but I never got out of the house. Go get some decaf at a coffee shop, whoever said go to the movies had it right, go out to dinner.
Or find a friend with a pool and go float in it. Pregnant swimming feels like a million bucks.
Happy due date and good luck!
