Weekend Plans?

Might be jumping the gun a little for some, but H has tomorrow off (HELLO, 4 day weekend!!!) so I thought I'd ask

We just flew to BIL's wedding last weekend and have a stupidly expensive surgery for our dog coming up on Wednesday, so even though we have 4 days, we're staying pretty low key. On my personal agenda is to eat a really good burger (been craving one for daaaays), see Paranorman, and make a flaming Greek cheese (which will involve tracking down haloumi).

What are y'all up to?

Well ..

Friday we both work so will just spend evening with my mom while hubby at work...

Sat...getting up bright and early to go get a new id/temps? ...make matters worse..I have totally lost my old id...so seriously hopeing they will not give me issues...ughhh....then rest of sat...is In law's family get together that they moved up instead of being thanksgiving weekend...so Yay me Hopefully we have a good time...just lately his mom and me are at each other...ugh

Sun we are going to Oktoberfest here in Cleveland Getting drunk and watching weiner dogs race...sounds good to me lol

Mon we both work again...time and a half finee with me..and maybe go to my grandmas for dinner..depends on what they doing...

Not really sure on plans for Friday just yet. We have spent enough money this week so more than likely just staying home. Both of us aren't back to work yet.

Then Sat in laws are having a cookout. They do it this weekend every year and it's the only one they do. So either Friday night or Saturday morning i will be baking cupcakes to take with us. No plans for Sunday yet. Then Monday is my moms birthday. I'm sure we will do something for her but nothing has been decided yet.

Fri H and I have to work so we don't have any plans

Sat we will prob start looking around at what we want to do to pack the apartment as we are moving in 30 days!!

Sun we are going to a friends for a BB!

Mon relaxing and maybe packing

Some were I have to do some food shopping. I will just get lunch foods, I want to clean out what we have so we have to pack as little as possible

No real plans for the weekend...maybe go the beach or something. H has to work on labor day but I'm off so I'm just going to relax at our pool most of the day.

We're both workin Friday and then maybe go out for supper... Depends if hubby gets paid or not... Oh the joys of him workin for himself...*sigh*

Then for the rest of the weekend, Saturday-Monday we'll be working on our house. Building a retaining wall, working on our yard and maybe I'll start painting. I might babysit my cousins kid, she's 9 months old and freaking adorable! It just depends on if they're harvesting or not.

Other than that it will also involve the standard cleaning/laundry etc.

Fun fun! I'm super excited for a long weekend.

We both work today, and I have to work tomorrow, but.....

we're going camping! I am so excited! I get out of work at 4 and we hope to be on the road by 5:30 as we are headed to the Cape. We are hoping that by that time of day on this Labor Day weekend traffic won't be too bad. There are two bridges to get to the Cape, and they usually back up for miles and miles.

We don't have any set plans once we get to our destination, other than heading to either Nantucket or back to Martha's Vineyard. We will most likely go Tuesday because all the tourists will be gone.

Weekend already?? Wow. I love 3 day weeks!

We were away last weekend, at an out of state wedding, and then we spent a couple of days with the in-laws. We got a call while we were in NC that our pup had been taken to the emergency vet because his stomach was distended, and he was vomiting copious amounts of liquid.. Not a fun call to get!

They caught it before his stomach twisted, so after an x-ray to check that, and an ultrasound to make sure he hadn't swallowed any foreign objects, we're at a loss as to what caused it.

So, $2000 later, we're also probably going to have a low-key weekend. We're all recovering emotionally and he's doing a lot better, finally.

Tomorrow H is headed to the shop to help out a little bit, and then we're moving my parents out of our house into their condo (finally!)

Sunday I think we're having our couple friends over for a little game day-ish.. we'll see. We don't really have any other plans yet. I'm just excited to cuddle with the pup A LOT!

We decided today to go on a road trip to Banff!!!!

Banff

I have only been once when I was a kid and just drove through and H has never been, so since its the last long weekend of the summer and we have spent every single weekend with other people, its time to get away just us. Its about a 26 hour drive round trip which we will split into 4 days and take the 'scenic route' and some backroads in areas we have always wanted to explore more.
