Can't believe some people!
The school that I got hired at for the long term sub job called me on Tuesday. I was on vacation and in a mall and I was getting terrible cell phone reception. The lady was asking me about my background check. I was trying to explain to her that I was on the substitute list in such and such school district. I had to repeat myself since she said my phone was cutting in and out. We ended the conversation on a fine note, or so I thought. She said she would call me back if there was something she needed me to do. She never called so I assumed all was okay.
Well today I went in to fill out paperwork and this woman (the one who I spoke to on the phone) came up to me with two forms. She began to tell me that I needed to get my background check and I said to her, "This should have been explained to me two days ago because now we just lost two days." She then got nasty with me and said, "Calm down. You need to chill." I told her I was calm. She then finished explaining everything and I was called into the superientendent's office.
The superientendent sat me down and LECTURED me on how they are a nice happy family there and she doesn't want any problems from me and she was told that I had an attitude on the phone the other day. I interjected and said, "No I didn't. The phone was cutting out due to poor service." She didn't seem to believe me. She took this woman's word over mine. I said, "I'm very happy to be working here and I'm so thankful to be giving this opprotunity." I don't remember what she said, if anything.
Now I am really annoyed that this woman is starting trouble for me. I never meant to have an attitude with her. If I talk to her again I will say I'm sorry (even though I don't think I did anything wrong.) Just three days ago the superientendent seemed to LOVE me, now she's not happy with me one bit. I can't believe this!

They have a problem because my background check states, "classroom teacher" not "substitute teacher."
