TGIF! Freefor All Friday, Labor Day weekend edition!
What are the plans this weekend, ladies?
Feel free to add any Friday randoms to this post, too
Re: TGIF! Freefor All Friday, Labor Day weekend edition!
I've hit a wall at work. I just want to start the long weekend NOW. Blah!!
This weekend... let's see. Not really much of anything planned, so we'll probably wing it! DH has to work both Sat. and Sun. evenings. We're having our parents over on Monday for a cookout. I wouldn't mind getting Iggy's at some point - I am craving doughboys and clamcakes!!
Saturday: playing with the kitten, and my grandmother's 83rd birthday party that night
Sunday: church, kitten time
Monday: enjoying the day with our family before DH has to go back to work and DD's preschool starts. Eek!
My house (well, first floor) is nearly all clean. Just need to put a couple boxes away, and finish the dishes. I hate how it gets away from me, but am so happy that the cleaning bug struck today!
I want to live in the Lorax movie... before all the Truffula trees were chopped down. Such a magical, beautiful looking world!
We were hoping to have a low-key, productive weekend at home. Not sure it's going to be as productive as I had hoped... My aunt who lives in Oklahoma is in town visiting my grandparents. Haven't seen her since 3 years ago, and she's obviously never met Tynan, so I feel obligated to make it up to Mattapoisett to see them, but I am not thrilled that it will take most, if not all, day. My mom and grandmother on her side also want us to visit them, despite the fact that we saw them just 2 weeks ago. Yes, I know I sound so obnoxious, complaining about visiting with family. But I'm just so overwhelmed and visiting with them will only raise my anxiety level.
We're getting quotes for replacing the decking on our porches. The guys that came last night suggested doing mohogany wood instead of replacing with tongue-and-groove or pressure treated wood. Don't know the total cost yet, but they said it would only be a couple hundred more to do mohogany over PT... now I really want to do the hardwood.
I feel a good cry coming on. Have to at least make it out of work first. Maybe that will help with the anxiety creeping in lately.
