Re: Interogate MMRoberts!
What do you like doing on your free time?
Favorite book?
What is your dream vacation with H?
Dream vacation by yourself?
What's your favorite food?
What's your dream job?
What are your hobbies?
If you won 5 million dollars, what would you do with it?
favorite restaurant?
beach or mountains?
cookie or cake?
favorite type of exercise?
In my free time I scuba dive, go camping, rock climb, read, and sleep.
I don't really have a favorite book but I really liked "To kill a mockingbird" and this book I'm now reading called "The universe in a signle atom: the convergence of science and spirituality" by the Dalai Lama. Beyond that I really like books about the brain, yes I'm a nerd.
Dream vacation with H would be Thailand.
Dream vacation for myself would be diving for a week at Truk lagoon.
My favorite food is Thai food; I love everything I've ever tried.
My dream job would be to be the President of a Hospital.
My hobbies are scuba diving, rock climbing, and camping. Really, I just love being outside doing active stuff.
If I won $5 million I'd pay off my debts, buy H a better car, move (our house now is great but it's not our dream house, just a temp-ish one), set a nice amount aside in a savings account, and then donate at least 1/3 of it to a few charities.
How did your H propose?
Do you want kids? If so, how many? Boys or Girls? Names picked out?
Do you know any other languages?
What is your favorite food recipe?
My favorite restaurant by where I live is Pia's, an old school italian restaurant.
As much as I love the mountains, I love scuba diving more than hiking (and mosquito bites) so the beach wins.
I'd take a cookie over cake most days. I'm not really a cake fan but I'll eat a piece if it's there.
My favorite type of exercise is the cardio. I love the ones where you don't think about the fact you're doing exercises the most, so hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving, martial arts, and then there is the place I recently discovered near me where they have 3D dodge ball. It's dodge ball on trampolines where even the walls are trampolines so you can be more skillful about it.
Chris proposed over a video game (seriously). He made some modifications to one and we were playing it to test out his changes. I got frustrated with the lag on my computer and he came over to "look at it." While he was down on one knee he told me he loved me and wanted to be with me forever. As he pulled out the ring he asked if I would marry him and with one of the biggest smiles ever, I said yes.
I do want kids. I'd like 2: one biologically and one adopted. With that in mind, one of each would be nice but I'll take whatever I get. I don't have any names picked out but I do know it can't be a client I've had. The middle name of the biological kid would also be a family name.
I do know other languages: I know english, sarcasm (mostly done in person though), spanish, and some french. I'm also learning sign language on my own plus through some coworkers and the translator we have at every work meeting ever.
My favorite recipe would be my family's recipe for homemade from scratch pasta and sauce. I can't share it (obviously) but LOVE making it. I'll make it for friends though if they visit for dinner.
How did you REALLY feel about being our moderator on TK?
What is your favorite part of your job?
Tell us about the dream house that you would buy with the remainder of your $5M winnings.
I'm guessing you're Italian from your post about homemade sauce - when you're around your family, do you refer to it as sauce or gravy? Very controversial Italian topic! My grandparents and mom's cousins refer to it as gravy, but I called it sauce growing up because it was less "weird" to my non-Italian friends. Now I like to call it gravy though!
Being the mod was ok. I felt overall we were a pretty good group and that helped. I did get frustrated though when sometimes people wouldn't get something and I wanted to just call them a moron and that they need to try to understand things or see other sides of their decision. Also, the newbs being like help me/ look at my pics even though I've never posted here before when we were all a few weeks away drove me insane. Now though, I'm glad the board at board is basically dead. I don't have time to be there as much as I used to be now that I'm not sitting at a computer for much of the day.
I honestly love that I am helping people. Last night for example I worked with a client and was helping him through his job orientation. Back in April I helped him learn some job tasks and help him basically be a better employee so he could get a job (he's never had a job before, fresh out of high school, and has a severe mental disability that stopped him in the past from working). It's a great feeling to see them working toward a goal and then seeing it happen and how happy and excited they become knowing they are working toward their dream.
It would basically be one of those upscale cabins. The livingroom would have a cathedral ceiling, a large stone fireplace, and windows on both sides of the fireplace floor to ceiling to see a great view. The kitchen would be large and have lots of room to entertain and cook at the same time. 3+ bedrooms, 2.5+ baths. Larger multi-level deck with a jacuzzi, room to grill, and an entertainment area. The house would also sit on at least 5 acres.
Yes, I am Italian. I refer to it as gravy except around my friends to save their confusion. Chris has accepted it and has started refering to it as gravy too.
Favorite holiday?
Favorite movie?
Best advice you received for the wedding day? for the marriage?
Favorite music genre?
My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love seeing all of Chris's cousins and be able to play with them (they are all mostly under 9) and their new toys.
I don't really have a favorite movie but there are definitely a few I could watch over and over again no matter how many times I've seen it and that I have it memorized. Ferris Bueller's day off is one of them.
Best advice for the day of: enjoy it and take in every minute you can as it will fly.
Best advice for marriage: go on dates, enjoy your time together, and don't take each other for granted ever.
My favorite music genre is alternative rock but I'll listen to just about anything.
