I love to plan vacations for DH and I. We love to get away, even if it is just for a short 2 day ski trip. Usually, this time of year I will be trying to plan a trip or two, one or two ski trips and one big spring break trip. However, I can't plan now because of two issues:
1. Money (we are not sure my income after my long term sub job ends.)
2. Getting pregnant. We are not sure when I may become pregnant. Yes, we are unsure of how long it will take us due to my infertility issues, but I would like to think it might happen any one of these cycles.
If I get pregnant I probably won't ski, unless it's really early in my pregnancy. And our spring break trip may depend if I can teach fitness classes because I do a gig with a company that allows us to travel to Jamaica in lue of me teaching three times a day.
So with that said, I can't plan any vacations for a long time and that makes me sad.
Re: I am a planner but...
That's a good idea Mark, problem is if we book a trip to Jamaica I'll be required to teach fitness there (that's the only way we can afford it) and I'm not sure I can back out of it once I book with the fitness company.
As far as a ski trip maybe I will book a short one for January and if I'm pregnant I'll just let my DH ski without me.
Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.
If I got pregnant in Oct. I'd be around 6 months along. Sring break is the first week of April this year. I doubt I could teach pilates at 6 months.

I agree that you shouldn't put all your plans on hold. I could see the Jamaica trip not working well. Would they still let you sign up in four months if you aren't pregnant by then? I think the ski trip idea sounds like so much fun.
DH and I went ahead and booked our plane tickets for Christmas in May (I'm a planner too). In June we made a baby. neither of us thought it would happen right away. We'd considered that it might in terms of school for me but not vacations. So it's great you are looking ahead like that. I'll just barely be in the window to still fly at 30 weeks for Christmas. But we would have paid the money to reschedule our tickets if I had been further along.
