Hello again,
I see a few of you newlyweds are starting to come over to The Nest (yay!). Now that your wedding month is over (side note: how crazy is that?), I would like to take the opportunity to get to know some of our newest members a little better.
Since a lot of you should be getting some of your wedding prints back soon, we wanted to have a photo sharing contest. We'd love to see some of your favorite pictures from the big day!
To enter: Simply reply below before 8/31 and post a photo from your wedding.
We'll pick a random winner from the replies and send them this little bag of goodies:
You do not need to include any personal information in your response- just reply below here and we will contact the random winner privately via the email they use to login to the site. Entries that do not post a photo will not be considered.

Re: Wedding Photo Contest!
Also, a heads up: Uploading photos over here is different than on The Knot. I did my best to try to explain it in a previous post. Copying & pasting here for you ladies:
Unfortunately, unlike The Knot message boards, you're not able to simply embed photos by clicking the little picture icon (kind of annoying, I know).
Instead you will have to upload your photo to a picture hosting site such as TinyPic.com, Photobucket.com, Shutterfly.com or even simply to your Nest profile.
Then you'll need to get the direct link/image URL. If you upload to your Nest profile or Photobucket/Shutterfly you should be able to just right click the picture and click "Copy image URL." You will then paste this link into the "Image URL" box when you click the tree picture icon on your post. You can also resize the image there by adjusting the dimensions. I would say 320 is a good maximum width for images to avoid scrolling.
If your picture is already online (like on Facebook), you can skip uploading it to a picture hosting site and go ahead to grabbing the image URL with a right click.
If you use TinyPic it will give you an IMG code for message boards (also, side note: I recommend selecting the "Website/Email 320x240" size). Then you can simply copy and paste this code in the text box of your message and it should work.
I know this is a little confusing. It is something we are hoping to simplify in the near future. Let me know if my instructions are unclear or if you have any other questions!
My dad and I.
