Re: How was your weekend?
Highs? Lots of family time and SO much accomplished. I sat down and made a list of everything we got done last night and even I was amazed.
Lows? My grandparents are in pretty bad shape, and it's taking a toll on everyone. See below for more.
Eat/make anything good? Simply Lemonade, Honey Bunches of Oats w-Craisins... not together, but they're both big-time cravings.
Read anything good? No. I'll read again someday.
Watch anything good? Nothing in particular. My DVR is depressingly empty, aside from a slew of True Blood episodes, which I can't watch without E.
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments? My grandmother's dementia has been getting worse over the past couple of months and she's in terrible shape right now. She asks the same questions over, and over, and over, but more than anything, she's completely nasty, particularly to my grandfather.
She ended up in the hospital for a few hours on Thursday night due to a blood clot, and as with any dementia patient, taking her out of her home and routine threw her for a loop. She was crying, saying that they (my grandfather and uncle, who were with her) were trying to get rid of her, then later demanding that my uncle call her sister, who died 20 years ago.
Yesterday morning she attacked my grandfather, running out of the kitchen at him, hitting him, knocking them both down. She bumped her head, but beyond that, they're both okay, thankfully. They officially cannot be left alone, though.
Not only is it heartbreaking to see my grandmother disappearing and the anguish it causes my grandfather, but my Mom has called me in tears, my uncle who lives in my grandparents' basement takes a lot of the burden, and the rest of their siblings are struggling as well.
What are you looking forward to this week? Meeting my son. My C-section is scheduled for Thursday morning.

Thanks Sarah!!
I don't want to upset the Nest gods by promoting a business so hopefully this is vague enough...
A subscription-based cosmetic company. Look for it on FB later this week
Highs? I felt like I got a lot accomplished on Friday with tons of errand running and organizing some clutter; also DH had a good weekend so it was pleasant for both of us
Lows? I didn't really "clean" anything. Decluttered, yes, but clean, no. That will be done tonight.
Eat/make anything good? I made lots this weekend...homemade beef vegetable soup, chili, and a braid stuffed with turkey, cheese, craisins and walnuts
Read anything good? I started re-reading a book I had to read in high school called Joshua
Watch anything good? The O's games throughout the weekend and then the TB/Yankee's game...pulled for TB, of course! Also watched the first season of Mad Men on Netflix.
What are you looking forward to this week? It's only a 4-day work week which is awesome and I'm going to the beach Saturday through next Wednesday for vacation
Highs...my bday=hanging out with friends on Friday
Lows: productivity minimal
Eats...Vinnie's Cafe for my bday dinner...I've heard of huge portions but OMG
Reads...no
Watch...finally finished 7 episodes of grey's anatomy...now I just need to find season 8 before season 9 starts
FFC: My BIL's GF saw me on my birthday, the day before and the day after...never once said happy birthday until the day after when I complimented her eye makeup
Seperate AW: MY HUSBAND GOT HIS PH.D. the actual diploma is on dining room table, so official we can't stand it! (BIL's GF couldn't muster up a congratulations either)
