As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

It is a bit of a shock at first, especially when it seems like everyone is speaking in acronyms all the time. All of the paperwork at first is a bit overwhelming too. But once you get over that initial hump it will get easier.
Does your DH's company have a FRG? Most bases have all sorts of classes you can take: resumes, job interview techniques, stuff like that. Start looking into the resources available to you (the base website is a good place to start) and get yourself involved in things (gym classes, volunteering, like maybe at the post thrift shop) that will put you around people.
