Hope everyone had a great long weekend! Did you do anything fun?
We had friends over every night (Thurs-Mon) because we got new patio furniture and felt the need to make sure it worked right!
It was fun, but I'm glad this week is a short week (we are taking Friday off because I'm a BM in a wedding about 5 hours away) so we can recover!
Re: How was your weekend?
DH and I looked at houses! We're a little nervous because we own the house we're living in, but we're considering selling and buying a new one that can be our "forever house." We found one we really like and are going back to look at it later this week!
I'm also in a wedding this weekend, so while it's going to be a bunch of wedding-y things to take up my time, it's less time at work, so I can't complain there.
*I don't think I mentioned it on this board but DH has been working nights for the past month and our schedules have been flip-flopped so we're rarely sleeping together, or even seeing each other!
However, there were a bunch of little things that annoyed me:
1) We made a photobook online to send to DH's dad/grandpa (they live together) and ordered it in MARCH but this weekend realized they never received it. Ugh.
2) DH's family that didn't show up to our wedding (5 people) never apologized and it still really bothers me that they just didn't show up. We heard they didn't have the money (it IS a 5 hour drive), but being broke is no excuse for being rude. You know in advance if you can't afford it, so we could've had a heads up (and not paid a couple hundred), and they never said sorry. The day before the wedding DH called his dad to see what room # everyone was staying in and his dad was the one that said "oh, btw... they're not coming".
I spent my weekend in the hospital. lol
Long story short, doctors thought I had appendicitis, turned out that was not it. They decided to label it severe RLP. Still in terrible pain, but I think it's getting better.
All in all, not a great weekend, but so thankful that hubby was able to stay with me in the hospital.
Feel better Raeily. That's not a fun way to spend the weekend.
Beastie vibes your way.
On Saturday, I went shopping with my sister. We spent time with my family on Sunday and FINALLY went to see Batman. On Monday we ran errands and went to my classroom to finish setting it up. I feel like it's forever going to be a work in progress. But that's ok. It was busy, but quiet. And that's fine by me.

Oh no! Feel better! That's great your H was able to stay with you though
We had a football/birthday party for my little brother at my house. Then my AC started making funny noises, so I have someone SUPPOSEDLY coming today to look at it.
DH had his nasal sinus surgery yesterday, so we're both at home today. He's feeling blech and I'm taking care of him.
