Recommend your adults-only AI in the Riviera Maya
We have already been to Secrets Maroma Beach and Aventura Spa Palace. We would like to try somewhere new. We aren't really into golf, so that is not important, but enjoy water sports, snorkeling and somewhere fun for thirty-somethings would be perfect.
Re: Recommend your adults-only AI in the Riviera Maya
Ditto the pp. We haven't actually stayed there, but have seen the property and it's in a great location and right on the beach. It usually gets great reviews on here. I think there is one in Cancun as well.
a few years ago dh and i stayed at the royal section of the occidental xcaret. I'm not sure if it's an adults only section (i believve it is but im not 100% sure) but there weren't any kids there. private part of the resort for the 'royal' guests-very small part, our own pool, restaurant, beach, spa. had full run of the rest of the resort. 2 balconies with our suite-one with a hammock. very nice
for new years week this year were staying at the royal suites yucatan. it's the adult only very small section of the larger 4 palladium resort complex. again-own pool, restaurant, spa, beach and run of the other resorts. it was awarded tripadvisors 2012 travelers choice award. really looking forward to it.
truthfully though dh and i have stayed at a number of places in cancun and RM during early december (we piggy back to our timeshare week in cancun) and because it's not a school holiday time there really aren't ever many kids. so depending on when you're plannign on going it might not matter if the place is adults only.
