Massachusetts, turned it into Staples; now over 2,000 stores employing
90,000 people.

miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy,
Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group,
Dollarama, Home Depot and many others.

That's a grand total of 28 years of unpaid service to his country, his
community and his church. Why? Because that's the kind of man Mitt
Romney is!
? Mitt Romney is one of the wealthiest, self-made men in our country

Romney has been selected as the best representative from the present
field of Republicans and here's what we know:
? We know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag,
bow down to foreign powers, or squander my money on vacations.
? We know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the
"Spending President" has gotten us into.
? We didn't know that when Obama said he'd give us change, he meant
nickels and dimes, and he would get the big bucks.

But, on the minus side, He never was a "Community Organizer", never
took drugs or smoked pot. Never got drunk.
Did not associate with communists or terrorists. Nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the US.
Re: Mitt Romney
Thanks for the wikipedia copy and paste. My mind is totally changed now.
I found it in a political forum.
Some of this isn't completely accurate. Romney was paid after the Winter Olympics, and also received a severance, which he donated to charity. And the $4M to charity... pretty sure a big chunk of that is tithes to the Mormon church.
Oh. Then nevermind. It's legit if it's from an uncited forum.
Also, the Obamas gave more to charity last year than the Romneys (20%?), if that matters to you. Here's their tax return - http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/president_obama_complete_return_2011.pdf
I keep hearing that Barack is so, so intelligent, yet I have no idea about his grades except what HE said they were. In the Maraniss book, there's only his assertion that he had a B+ average, then a 3.7. I know that I have my college transcript at home. It wouldn't be so hard to find and document.
About the self-made man, I heard that Romney gave his inheritance from his father to charity.
These two are actually false. He will not show us his tax returns.
I was wondering about that. I thought I had missed that he was going to release them now or something.
Except for all the money in stocks his father gave him... =/= "self made" man.
This thread makes my brain hurt. Seriously, a copy and paste of "facts" (many of which aren't even facts) is supposed to tell me what?
And yeah, you absolutely can't tell me that he is a self made man growing up the way he did. That's like saying Paris Hilton is a self made woman.
Don't forget those posthumous baptisms of Holocaust victims!
No offense, cats, but I don't really consider you the best judge of a man's character.
Most of these facts seem largely irrelevant to whether or not he should be president. His policy proposals are much more important to me than some biased list of when he vacationed in Paris.
I do find it amusing that he was an "unpaid" volunteer for his dad for several years. Because, yes, I'm sure he didn't see a penny or a stock option from his father in that time.
