K-Cup Deal

I just got it in my email. IDK if its good or not. LINK

Re: K-Cup Deal

  • I love my keurig. Have you tried the breakfast blend? I know walmart has similar decent prices, like 18 count for 10.99.

  • Nope, I don't drink coffee.  I probably would never use the machine.  J drinks coffee every once in a while and he uses a french press and grinder.  I know know how much you guys like your machines.  .49/piece isn't bad.
  • I know! I don't drink much coffee, so I've never used a "real" coffee machine because I never want to drink more than one cup at a time. So the machine is perfect for me since I can just fill up my mug with any time I want with no clean up or extras. It's fantastic :) Thanks for the share!

  • Hubby loves coffee too much for this to be cost effective for us. I only ever had one cup a day so I love the idea. He makes 5-6 cups every day. If you ask he'll say he only drinks two cups but his coffe cups are huge and two if them hold 6 cups from the coffee pot.

  • I love hot chocolate, and cider.  I don't even like coffee smell.  It doesn't bother me but I wouldn't go buy a candle with that smell or anything.

  • If you drink a lot of coffee, you can get re-fillable K-Cups like the My K-Cup or my recommendation the ekobrew that actually fits in the K-cup holder without having to remove it like you do with the My K-Cup.  Then you can just put your own coffee in. :)

I got my Keurig from Costco and it included the re-fillable K-Cup filter, but it was a pain to keep taking out the holder. I just saw the ekobrew at BB&B. Does it work well? The other one is quite frustrating

That's why we didn't get the My K-Cup.  To me if that's the only thing you're going to use, then ok, get it.  If you plan to still use it and the actual K-Cups then eventually the holder is going to break.  They're not easy to remove.

As for the ekobrew, we bought one for both my parents and ourselves and love it.  The only 'gotcha' is if you're doing something really fine (like Thai tea/coffee powder) then you want to buy the little mini paper filters to go inside them.  Otherwise they work great.

I love the smell of coffee, but don't drink normal coffee.  I stick mostly to mochas, cappuccinos, etc.

  • I wanted to get a Keurig, but neither j nor I actually drink coffee. We didn't think it was worth it for just entertaining so we registered for a really cheap coffee pot, which I ended up getting at the shower. We will probably only use it 12 times a year or so.
