Good morning!
I'm so ready for this humidity to break. It is so uncomfortable in our house right now.
My big plans are to clean the upstairs rooms and take some clothes to Once Upon a Child. I don't think I will get that much money for them but it is better than hanging on to them all year and sell them at a garage sale for .$50.- $1.00 each. I hope to get rid of all the garage sale boxes that we have stored. We need to make some room.
Re: Thursday randoms
Morning!!
Finally got a good nights sleep last night. Today we move some more items and prep for the weekend. Tonight will be the final night that we sleep here.
I'm trying to keep my spirits up by thinking of the good things that we get to do at my parents. Bon Fires, gardening, setting up a rain barrel, not having to wake up at 6AM to get Gabe to the bus.
It looks like the heat and humid feel breaks today and should be nice for the weekend.
GVSU: You might be surprise on what you do get from OUAC. I usually was, of course I had a boy and it was just a surprise if the clothes survived him wearing them.
Morning!
Hope you get a good amount for the clothes GVSU.
That does sound fun Wendy. What do the winners get?
Glad you got some rest last night Deeder. I saw yours and Star's replies yesterday. I wouldn't mind you guys coming. I'd love to see you ladies.
Nothing much going on my way.
I need to get over this "I hate my job" thing. I just can't shake it. I thought I would be at peace now, but I'm not
I know that feeling well. Hang in there and keep sending those resumes out. You will get some relief soon (is what I tell myself as well).
Oh TW, I know that feeling and it is hard to shake. I wish I had some good advice but I don't. My last job was like that.
I still have to eat breakfast. Maybe I should go and do that.
Morning all! Hannah and I are going to run a few errands today - maybe stop at a garage sale or two just for the heck of it.
I did get Hannah "unstuck" last night. Haha! She wedged herself between one of her big toys and the wall and got her pants stuck on the toy. She continued to wedge herself between things all night and say "I stuck". Apparently she enjoys the new phrase she learned.
DH and I decided a few weeks ago to cash out a 401k that I had from an old employer. I had a good chunck of money in it and knew I would be penalized for early withdrawal but we decided to pay off a few credit cards was a benefit. The money got deposited into my account yesterday and it wasn't as much as I thought it was going to be after the penalty and taxes.
Here's hoping that I get some of that back come February.
Deeder - enjoy your last night in the house. Keep focusing on the positives of this big change.
GVSU - Hope that you have good luck at Once Upon a Child. I was looking through Hannah's old winter stuff yesterday trying to decide if I wanted to sell any of it. I am very much on the fence about having another child but I just can't part with Hannah's things. Guess I want to have another more than I think I do.
BnG & TW - Hope that you both have good luck on the job front soon. Searching for work and being in a job you don't like is stressful I can imagine. Hang in there.
Thanks HM. B has been SO good about everything, He's just worried about me not having any piece of mind. I went from a full time job and part time school to NOTHING. Plus we just want to get a move on with our lives, get a house and really put some roots down you know?
Hannah sounds so cute and funny. Busy too!
I have no idea :-)
Hey everyone. I came back from up north (Petoskey on Monday night) after spending 3 days/3 nights with my bff and her family. She rented me a car to come up there to see them. I have a lot going on and got some things clarified and some not, and things aren't still well but we'll see. I know how you feel Deeder - hang in there.
Van took another crap yesterday and now it's fixed. Supposedly bio mom is sending me 3000 or a lil bit more in a week or so from her IRA acct. She says she is going to follow through with it but I still have some doubt. Know what I mean?
I am not very happy with Consumer's Energy at the moment! Our bill is $540 this month. Are you kidding me?!?! I signed up for their Budget plan in June because the website said that was when it started over for the year. Well guess that is wrong and their balancing month is September. Ugh...I was so mad at them I hung up the phone on the lady before I said something inappropriate.
Charity: Welcome back! It sounds like you made some head way in your life. I do hope your BM send the money out to you. I know it would be a huge help right now.
HM: Darn!!! That is huge. I don't blame you for being made. Those site can be very confusing. It used to be simple I don't know why they changed it.
I was naughty and went to Taco Bell for lunch. I'm sure to regret this in a few hours but I really wanted nachos.
I just saw this on GRnow's FB page. I want to find her and try something.

My afternoon annoyance: We signed up for automatic rent payment a long time ago. We signed a new lease in August, and promptly got a "demand for payment of rent" aka" Pay us or get evicted" letter. We went to the business office and got all of it cleared up.
Fast forward today and get another letter. Damn it. Turns out that once your lease is up, so is your auto payment. Even if you re-lease. Ok yes we should have checked, but I think the lady at the business office could have mentioned it so we wouldn't have a late fee AND have to get a cashier's check or money order.
Goodness. Maybe it's irrational, but we are not apartment people. B has not ever lived in one. I haven't since college.
<raspberries>
Definitely. Especially because I don't think we were ever notified about the automatic payment ending.
Oh well. We actually have a small down payment saved. We started saving while I was still working so as soon as I get a job, it will go like clockwork.
That bakery looked good.
What do you all think about a holiday get together? Maybe right after Holloween, before things get crazy. Of course I'm just talking because I can't host and don't want to impose...
I think that would be awesome or even before that. I am pretty open for a while. The 29th I don't know what I am doing because it's a Saturday and my birthday but I have a friend getting married that day so who knows what I will do. I know I am not going to the wedding because it's too far away.
You should see the bruises on my knees arms and biceps from water tubing the other day - ouch!!!!
