Hi All!
I just recommended to someone on another board to check out their local board for advise and realized I haven't visited my own! Just wanted to pop in say hello! I still consider myself a newly wed, been married 1 yr 2 months!
I moved to Westchester from Long Island about 3 years ago and loving it!
I guess a little background might be nice, I'm 25 my DH is 27. I work in finance but have been looking for a teaching job for a while now, rough in NY. Our little family consists of 2 furbabies. Gansett, our black lab, Moo and Blazer, our cats.

I live up in Orange County and i'm in accounting! DH & I are 28 and have a dog (Ben and a cat (Sam). And i have some family back in Long Island.

My DH and I bought a house in May 2011 before we got married. We found a little country home in Northern Westchester. We are both country bumpkins at heart but we like being close to White Plains and NYC. We got a BIG fixer upper and have been doing all the work ourselves.

I'm 30, as is my husband. I'm a teaching assistant in Yonkers, patiently waiting for a 'classroom teacher' position to open up ... I know all too well how difficult it is to find a teaching job nowadays. Good luck to you
Hi! Looks like we have the same anniversary, although I was married in '06.
Im in orange county, have an almost 2 year old daughter (20 months). I am a PT and MH is an accountant.

Sugar - we took out the ceilings and wall between the living room and kitchen and made cathedral ceilings and an open concept living room kitchen area. We also put in a huge driveway, front patio, walkway, and excavated our back yard and just finished a hugge patio with a fire pit over looking our pond. Next project is the basement. BUT I can promise you that non of these projects are 100% completed haha. We have some touch up, back splashes, etc
ACM - We just move to a little country home in Bedford/Pound Ridge we are right on the border. I'm hoping either in December or January to pick up a leave replacement and get my education career started.
