You've got to be kidding me?!
My principal just called me to tell me that my school is closed tomorrow and Friday because they discovered mold. I can't believe this! And since I'm just a long term sub I'm not going to get paid for these two days. That's about $300 that I'm losing. OMG.
Oh and my DH just went up to his parents to spend sometime with them. If I would have known I would have went with him or he would have stayed here and we could have spent the day together.
This sucks. Well, maybe I'll go to the beach tomorrow if the weather is nice.

You'd think, but that is government for you.
I can understand not doing it in June, but sure it should have been done before the teachers and students returned.
A lot of schools during the summer close down with the exception of maybe the main office and whatever teachers decide to drop by during the summer, so the schools don't necessarily bother trying to climate control the entire building. At least not to the extent they do during the school year. Also, lights tend to be off, shades drawn. Which makes it darker. Doors kept closed. Etc.
Not sure about Tara's school. But I know this is what one of the districts that I worked in around here did.
