I'm convinced that after my parents had 2 girls before me, I just got whatever was left of the girl genes. Then they were all out and had a boy after me. Not the most scientific thinking, I know, but I got the smallest boobs, shortest, biggest feet and shoulders...
Now my hair is going gray way ahead of the rest of them. Damn them all! My mom and sisters all made it to 29-30 before starting to gray. I only turned 24 a month ago and I've been finding gray hairs all week. It's not even cool like a Stacy London gray streak, it's coming in all over.
Guess I gotta stop being lazy about keeping up with my hair color...
Re: Gray hair
That's one way of thinking of it!
I had my first gray hair my Sophomore year of college. Then a few more each year. Next week is the first time I've been able to dye my hair since June and things are not pretty! I dye about every 6-8 weeks.
I'd been dying my hair pretty consistently since freshman year of college because I liked having some red in it so I bet my gray hair started slowly then too but I was covering it because now it's more than just a few strands.
I was slacking this summer. I think the last time I did it was in June so it's really grown out and the gray was/is growing in which surprised me since I didn't know that's what was going on!
A little opposite, but I've been getting more dark hairs. Ice always been super blonde. My mom and my sister were but turned in their late teens. Mine stayed light until after I was pregnant and now I find more dark areas. I had some highlights done before the wedding and want to lighten it a little this fall if I can afford to.
QJ, my husbands like you. He had vibrant red hair when we first met. At some point his hair started to become this dark, rich red.
I have only one gray hair for about a year, at least that's when I noticed it. It's super hard to notice and this is the first time I have mentioned its excistance to anyone. I'm afraid to pluck it or cut it short for fear my hair will retaliate and grow more. No one in my family started going really gray until late 30s or later. I'm crossing my fingers my hair stays with this trend.
No, not yet. I haven't really had time to find much yet. I need to find a tailor too to shorten a bridesmaid dress. I'm going to put this stuff off as long as possible because I hate 'shopping around' for the right people..
