hello! I introduced myself two weeks ago as the newbie. My old username on the knot was i2012do.. but I changed it due to privacy concerns. Anyway! My name is Jen (Brina is actually our dogs name) and we were married on 8.25.12...
We are back in the swing of things- but I'm not one to go a long time without "something" to do. So without the wedding to plan my hands feel empty.
Our lease at our current place is up in march and I really wanted to find a home before then (probably by January so we had the ability and time to do some renos if we needed).
We were working witha realtor in the past but I felt like she was showing us the types of propertys that were her "taste" and not exactly ours...most of the time we found properties online and asked her to set up appointments- with little direction. I'd really like to find someone that can scout out properties and we don't necessarily have to tell them all the houses we want to see (maybe this is a bit old school because of the internet now, but I'd at least like to get some properties geared towards us sent to us that we can check out online, besides the automates MLS that goes out to me daily)...
Sorry to be long winded....anyway-- I am really looking for someone that is versed in All areas of Rhode Island. We are open to where we want to live and have looked at places in Warwick, EG, Barrington, RIverside, Seekonk, North Attleboro, Lincoln, Cumberland, Smithfield, Greenville, etc....so as you can see we are across teh board. I'm hoping someone on here can suggest a great realtor that has a knowledge of all areas of RI rather than specializing in a single town.
Any suggestions are welcome! thanks!

Hi Jen! Hope your wedding was great!
Sadly, I don't have a rec. We used Matt Molloy (he was with Remax) when we bought almost 5 years ago now. We used him based on my family's experiences - he knew a lot about different areas. In the end, though, he was hard to reach and not listening to us. We did all the legwork and he just did the paperwork (and did a poor job of it at that). He also listed some of the super shady inspection services on his "preferred" list (meaning he was hoping to NOT find any issues so we would not negotiate the price down any further), which made me and DH think he was more in it for the commission and not really having our best interest at heart.
