my Duh moment

So I get the mail this morning and there is a card in there with my one aunt's return address label.  I looked at it for a moment, and said to H who the heck is Mrs. Michael Cox? I think my aunt sent this to the wrong person.

Mike looked at me and said it's you dumbass.  It's probably a birthday card.  He was right.

Duh!!  Still not used to this married name....

Re: my Duh moment

  • HAHA! I do this all the time except I have a somewhat legit excuse. My name is Ashley SIL's name is Ashley we married brothers. Our birthday is a day apart and we used to live together. Also they got married before we did Sept. 2011 to our May 2012.

Needless to say everytime I see Ashley McKinzie I wonder why I am getting her mail.

  • Bahahahaha! I have so done that! I'm like "who is that?" I'm just getting used to signing my new last name and some credit cards still have my maiden name, so I get confused and can't remember my signatures! Sometimes I when I give my name for an appt for something I have to THINK of what my name is!
  • hahaha

DH's grandma sent me a bday card recently addressed to Mrs. Stefan Hatfield and we BOTH missed the "Mrs."  Stefan opened it and realized it had my name on the card, we were confused until we looked at the envelope again  lolol  d'oh!!
