WW question - moderate vs. high intensity
For anyone familiar with WW - I just joined online recently, and either run or elliptical pretty much every evening. Running is worth so many more points than elliptical, but I feel as though I am working nearly as hard as when I run! What constitutes a "moderate" vs. "high" intensity elliptical workout? RPM? Resistance? Thanks so much!
Re: WW question - moderate vs. high intensity
I don't know the technical answer, but from what I've heard (at meetings or just talking to other WW ppl) the intensity can kind of be figure out by whether or not you can talk while doing them....for example:
Walking (low int.) since you can carry on a conversation while doing it
Riding a bike/eliptical maching (mod. int) since you can still talk, but maybe not as easily as if you were just walking.
Running/Sprinting (high int) since if you're running hard and steady, its almost impossible to speak let alone form a sentence!
Hope this helps a little
