So.. since you all asked for pics (and I thought I needed to share the story) and ideas.. I'll give you a little. ![]()
Story: I teach piano. One of my student's mom asked me to teach her "The Bridal March (Here Comes The Bride)" for an upcoming wedding where she was playing the song. So I've been teaching it to her for a couple weeks. Well, this Sunday, we had a very normal lesson. And at the end of it, she pulled out that song to play. As she played it, the door to the room opened, I looked around and it was my boyfriend with a bouquet of flowers. I was extremely confused... but after some sweet words and him down on one knee, we were engaged.
Turns out, the girl I teach piano to and her family (and my family) were in the loop the whole time! Totally tricked me! After his super sweet proposal, we went to a wonderful party with family and friends. And for your viewing pleasure:

He did really good. ![]()
We plan to wed in the Spring in Colorado hopefully!
Re: Little Engagement Story per your request :)
Awwww!! What a great story!
Gorgeous ring. Thanks to Ami for sending it to me through email since I can't see crap at work. I love the detail on the prongs. Beautiful.
Did you pick it out?
Thank you all so much! He did so great. And i of course love my ring!
I didn't exactly pick it out, but I did have a say in it. We had gone to try on rings and we just kind of figured out what exactly we both liked: round diamond, 6 prongs, diamonds on the prongs, micro pave on the band. So once we pieced this together.. he secretly went to a jewelry store in Norman and they designed it and made it! He's very proud of his work. I love that he kind of took it into his own hands and still surprised me because I had no idea he was actually putting it together himself!
my bookshelf!
