Dinner menus?!

I'm hoping for some new ideas for next week, now that the weather is getting cooler. :)

Sunday: Church fundraiser: Harvest Home Dinner with friends

Monday: crockpot stew that DH made Saturday night

Tuesday: sirloin sandwiches and Ore Ida grilled potatoes

Wednesday: marinated porkloin, roasted potatoes and some sort of veg

Thursday: cheddar cheese & bacon breaded chicken (from the Kraft kit), mashed potatoes

Fri/Sat: I'm headed out of town, so the boys are on their own!

Sun: I'm not sure - depends on what time I get back and if DH takes any meat out of the freezer.

    F

I am really excited to pull out some of my warm fall recipes too.  Chili, shepherds pie, homemade soups.  Basically a bunch of stuff Eleni won't eat. Hahahaha

  • Sun: crockpot beef stew

    Mon: Lasagna

    Tues: chili

    Wed: leftover lasagna

    Thur: leftover chili

    Fri: raviolis

    Sat: chicken on the grill

**I was proud of myself on Sunday, I browned 2 lbs of ground beef, split it in half, then put together both the lasagna and chili ahead of time.  So the past 2 nights of dinner have been easy (and the next 2 nights will be leftovers, even better!)

  • Yummmmm everyone!

And good job, Emmy! I want to get back into the habit of doing that as well, and it's easier to do with the cooler months (casseroles, lasagna, shells, etc.). I had drop-off duties this morning so while the kids were eating breakfast, I prepped tonight's dinner so that it's ready to just go in the oven when I get home - I feel quite accomplished!

  • Balbacm---- that is a great blog. I am going to try that recipe next week. DH is traveling this week and DD and I tend to go to MILs to eat. ha.

So hence above..... nothing to contribute for this week. But watch out next week. Ha.

  • Sunday: Cookout with friends before the Steelers game, ribs, wings, etc.

    Monday: Salsa Chicken and cauliflower

    Tuesday: Meatloaf and broccoli

Wednesday: Casey is fishing tonight, so I'll prob have leftover meat loaf.

Thursday: Italian chicken, side of pasta

    Friday:

Saturday: London Broil, roasted veg, mashed potatoes

  • Hmmm...my list is as home. But now that I think about it, I think I was supposed to put chicken in the crockpot this morning. Oops! I guess it will be baked chicken instead. The kids won't eat it either way, so it isn't like it matters that much. :-)

I agree that I am excited to add fall dishes to the rotation. I have been dying for some soup...coming soon!
