I'm annoyed

Since about May we have been talking about going to Disneyworld next year around April. We are going with DH's family. I have done all of the planning and research, but we have yet to book anything yet. I think right now what's holding everything up is BIL and SIL don't think they will be going now. My neice will be about 3 1/2 at that time and they don't think she will be "ready" to go (I think she will be fine and will love it, but they know their kid more than I do). I had DH mention to his parents if we are still planning on going we need to book soon so we can book our dinner reservations and activities before they fill up. And still I have not heard one thing about it. I'm trying not to push the issue since they offered to pay for it. But the planner in me is going crazy!

Re: I'm annoyed

  • Oh, that would aggravate me. Because I'm that person that is on the phone at 5 a.m. the morning my dining reservations open up.

You might explain to them that ever since Disney introduced their dining plan, reservations are very hard to come by unless booked early.

On the plus side... I do believe that even if your trip isn't booked, you can still make dining reservations. :)

  • What IS it with people that don't plan ahead?  This has become the ban of my existence and worse of all, I feel like people are looking at me as if *I* and the crazy one.

If I were you, I would book dinner reservations.  Keep a spreadsheet of all the other stuff you have researched, that way, when it comes time to actually book the stuff, you can be prepared. Hopefully your parents will find this helpful.

I have so much saved already. I have multiple offers saved on the Disney webpage for different bookings and hotels we might want to stay at. I just want to go ahead and book it so I can focus on something else. Plus that reminds me we also will need to book flights. Good Lord!

  • We are still here and I'll have lots of tips for you! I'm sure you've already read all the same things I have while planning though. I wish we could come back in April. I already want to come back ;)
