Need help/advice. I am STARVING
I started my meds for the IVF last week and I have been starving for the past 5 days, but it's especially bad in the morning. I'm talking eating every hour. This says to me I'm not getting enough before bed, but I am eating my fill and feel satisfied when I go to bed. Obviously my body isn't. I'm thinking I may need to eat a bed time snack, maybe like some apple with peanut butter, but honestly most nights I don't want to, I'm not the slightest bit hungry. Thoughts, advice? I know I'm about to put on weight (hopefully with a baby and all), but I would like it to be for the right reasons.

Re: Need help/advice. I am STARVING
I somewhat follow a GD diet even though I don't have it (I get low blood sugar though and feel like I'm going to pass out sometimes). I try not to eat carbs on their own...always with a protein. And stick to low GI foods.
Apple and natural peanut butter is my go-to snack! Hummus, whole wheat pita, and cheese is another good one. Now I'm hungry...
I had a bowl of oatmeal Monday morning around 7am, but 730 I was starving, no joke. STARVING.
We are currently making our own peanut butter since Brooks likes it all the time.
How big is your serving? Are you using the instant packs? Those servings are small. I buy my oats in bulk. I put a cup of dry oatmeal in the bowl, add a sprinkle of cinnamon and add some water.
Other suggestions (involving dairy, not sure if that's an issue):
cottage cheese
Greek yogurt
protein shake
Would also recommend eating smaller more frequent meals (every 2.5 - 3 hrs).
When I lost my weight this summer I learned to eat every 2-3 hours so I was eating 6 meals a day. I tried to stop using protein shakes and only "real" food, but man they worked and I may have to go back to them. I have been trying to make greek yoghurt smoothies, but I was out earlier this week. I'll try them again.
Anyone heard of intermittent fasting? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermittent_fasting
Some friends suggested it. Since I was basically eating a meal that wasn't doing anything but making me hungrier. I skipped it this morning and didn't eat until 9, not a HUGE shift, but enough that when I did eat I was satisfied and now, 2 hours later I'm starting to get a little peckish and it's time for a snack. So I think I have to cut that breakfast at home out completely. It's more work since now I have to pack breakfast and lunch for me, but I think if it keeps working the pluses outweigh the minuses
