TGIF ladies!!
So tomorrow DH and I are going to a concert at Consol with another couple. We wanted to get dinner beforehand. It is our anniversary on sunday, but doesn't need to be fancy. I had thought about trying Burgatory but guess I thought it was closer to town than waterworks. (not that that is far.) The friends we are going with suggested the Carlton but do we need to be a little dresser than jeans there? Any other suggestions? I thought it might be nice to park and then walk to Consol or take cab or T etc. But we don't have to.
Thank you!
Re: Dinner suggestions
Meat and potatoes downtown, then a little after dinner walk to Consol?
If you want burgers, you could do Wingharts in market square.
Wingharts had a fire earlier in the week. They looked ready to reopen yesterday but when we tried for lunch the fire marshal was there and didn't let them reopen. So you may want to check with them first before making plans. There are really a lot of good choices.

the carlton reminds me of old business men and stuffy lunches. meat and potatoes is a good choice, casual but trendy and good food. i'd make a reservation though. i think 9 on 9 is a tasty downtown choice too.
have fun!
You can get away with jeans at the Carlton - hell you can get away with jeans practically anywhere now, but I probably wouldn't wear them. Personally, I wouldn't do Carlton as a pre show meal b/c when I'm paying more I like to make dinner last a long time.
There are alot of good places in Market Square. I also like the Sharp Edge for a pre concert/game dinner (Lots of choices & good beer); Six Penn you can sit outside; Sonoma Grille. I think 9 on 9 is a bit pricey imo.
