Hi Ladies!
I've been MIA pretty much all summer (though I lurked when I could) because things have been so busy at work and personally. We took our two week trip to Cali (amazing--thanks for all the tips you ladies gave me), spent lots of time with friends and family, and did lots of work on our house. Now that things are settling down, and I have some more time, it seems like our board has been abandoned. Is everyone posting somewhere else, or is everybody just busy?
Congratulations on all of the births and BFPs while I've been away!!

My Blog
I was just thinking about you the other day. I'm planning to back a cake for a co-worker's shower soon, and I was going to look for ideas in the book you'd gotten me for an exchange a while back, and it made me wonder where you'd been.
Glad to hear you've been enjoying more travelling!
Good to see you!
I'm busy figuring out this momma thing! haha
Hi everyone!! Thanks for responding, I didn't know if the Nest had done something atrocious while I was gone (again), causing everyone to move somewhere else. Hopefully things will pick up soon, I guess!
Alise - Thanks for answering! How's T doing?
Reenie - I hear you on the teacher thing, my DH teaches 4th grade and it's already been a crazy year with all of the new standards NY is pushing on them. Hope the school year is starting off well for you!
Wendy - I'm glad you're enjoying the cake book! Hopefully it has something good in there for your coworker.
Laura - How is L doing? Did you guys move yet? I give you tons of credit for moving with a newborn...it's hard enough for DH and I to move on our own!
Good to see you! I've been sad how slow the board has been. I miss all the chatting we all normally do on here. I miss everyone
Sounds like you had a good time in Cali.
Im still here and check the board daily. Just working and getting ready for our little panda. I'm trying to keep up with my blog more now too, the link is in my siggy. I'm going to do an update today, after I take a nap lol

He is doing well! He is a sweetie :-) Are you on my fb friends lisy?? I have a ton of pics there.
We moved in July. Yeah...we were crazy for doing what we did. Ha. It has been exhausting to try to put a house together but I know my days of a cuddly baby are numbered so I will enjoy them while they last...& the house will get there,
Where did you end up going in Cali? I want to go there soon!
Hey, she is doing okay right now. She came down with her first cold last week and had a fever. She doesn't seem to be getting over her cold and now she has a bad cough
boo I really hope it doesn't turn into croup. Other than that she is doing really well. She's so much fun, she started sitting shortly after she was 4 months old and loves to see things. If there is any type of noise she is almost guaranteed to be awake instead of sleeping. She is super curious, but that's okay
She's a "big"girl 16lbs 13 oz at her 4 month check up - 97th percentile for weight and for length.
Figured I'd post a picture of her as well. This is this past week.

My Blog
Going back to work has been insane this year. Like hazardous to my health - 29 3rd graders are simply too much to handle! Not that they are bad, but that's a huge load of needy kiddos
I'm thrilled that you enjoyed your trip to the Golden State! What did you end up doing? We ended up road tripping it around here this summer too and had a blast!
Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
Glad to hear all is well with you and the little panda! I follow your blog, good job on the sheets!
We're not FB friends, just sent you a PM! I'd love to see some pics, and I'm glad he's doing so well!
You should definitely take the time to enjoy him, rather than worrying about the house. We've lived in our house for 4 years and there is ALWAYS something to do, so there's no need to worry about it.
We flew into San Diego, spent 2 nights there, then drove up the coast, stopping for nights in LA, Santa Barbara, Morro Bay, and 2 nights in Monterey. After that, we went to Yosemite for 3 nights, and then San Francisco for 4. We had an absolute blast! We covered a lot of ground, but it was a really great trip! You should definitely go!
Love the picture! Sorry to hear she hasn't been feeling well, but hopefully it will pass quickly!
Ugh, you poor thing! DH has 28 4th graders on his roster, but only 26 have shown up so far.
We had an amazing time in California! I posted a our general itinerary to Laura above, but some of the highlights were:
San Diego Zoo
Urban wine trail in Santa Barbara
Solvang
Elephant seal rookery along the highway
The drive to Monterey
Our wine tour in Napa
Those are just a few of my favorites, we really loved everything!
YGPM! You're going to have the best time - so excited for you!!!
I've lived in Ca all of my life and I've never seen the elephant seals! I've been to Hearst Castle a ton too
Do you remember which stops you made on the SB wine trail? We're members at SB Winery and Kunin - fun times!
I'm trying to convince DH to go wine tasting in Solvang this weekend... we have wine to pick up out there and one of our wineries is doing a grape stomp!
