    Yeah, I did see that...fortunately for us, those would be the weekends that would work out best for us anyway, between other commitments, bday parties, etc... we're going to aim for that last weekend in september and if the weather doesn't cooperate, go the next week instead.  we didn't make it to any pumpkin patches last year, I'm determined to go this year!

  • There is also a Groupon right now for the Corn Maze at Mish Farms Meat Market (Gibsonia)  for half off admission...when I bought admission for 2 there was also a special $5 discount, so it came to $3!
  • Meghan i saw that corn maze- whats it like? Sounds like something different to do!! Thanks!!

    I'm not sure - I actually haven't been there yet, but I've heard it's a nice farm!  As for corn mazes, we have been to Coolspring Maze in Mercer, and really loved it!

    We went to Mish's last year via a living social deal (I think).  Pros = not crowded at all; fun games for kids to play (probably 4 & up would enjoy more); Cons - no pumpkin patch - they have some to buy but pickings were slim; it was very muddy the day we went & we didn't wear boots; hayride is pretty lame - just around the maze;

    The corn maze is fun but difficult if you have a stroller & little kids may get bored pretty easy b/c its hard.   Other games are fun though - running off hay bales, smaller maze & dig for treasure in a sand pile.  They have hot dogs or nachos too which always completes the day.

    It was ok, not sure we would do it again.  Much cheaper than the usual farm experience but if you want a pumpkin patch they don't have it.     I wish I could find our pictures from it but this is the only one I can find of Caileigh jumping off the hay bale.

  • thanks alot sheila!! i was thinking it may be fun for my 4.5 yo but the 2 yo would probably get real bored! think i may stick to the normal pumpkin patches another year! thanks alot!
  • If you go to Mish's, go to the meat market. They seriously have the best meat I have ever had. My dad's dealership was up the road and we used to eat lunch there all the time.
