Hey lady, I was wondering if you had posted photos of your rock the dress shoot? I am doing a shoot in a few weeks and wanted to take a look for some ideas. My photographer friend has not done one of these shoots before, and I think it will be great to add to her portfolio. But I just wanted to collect some ideas.

  • hey!  :)

we posted all of our pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/danger_love/sets

our photographer was a lot of fun to work with and had a lot of good ideas.  we were really sick though during rock the dress, and i have a major ponytail hair bump in some pictures lol  anyway, the photog asked if we wanted to go to this field he found that would be a great location, but he couldn't get any other brides adventurous enough to head out there so we said yes!  i think it made for really awesome pictures!  especially with the sun coming down :)  the pics at the end were taken in the in-laws backyard :)  the first pics were taken at the Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction, I love the red rocks and really wanted that, and hubby really wanted some shots on his motorcycle.

if it's warm enough where you are some water shots would be a lot of fun too!  have fun!

  • You guys did an awesome job of hiding your illnesses! Great photos. I don't know why no one would want to venture into that field! I totally would have! I love that you used your motorcycle as a prop. My friend thought of using my bicycle, since I am an avid cyclist. However, I don't want to get chain grease all over my dress because that won't come out and the chain is exposed. Plus I am not sure I could get my dress over the cross bar, either.

I'm considering some water shots, but I don't want to be completely submerged. We haven't picked locations yet, but I requested an apple orchard, a corn field, and a river.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • those sound like fun locations!  especially with fall coming up, the orchard and corn field will be really nice :)  you could bring your bike and maybe prop it up near you guys and not actually ride it, but i think the locations you chose will have enough going on that if you don't have your bike you probably won't miss it.  :)

i had so many alterations done to my dress and we got married on the monument so i knew my dress was going to get stained (from the red rocks) anyway, so i wasn't worried about being careful with it.

have fun and post pics afterwards!
