Tell me where to get married!

I need your help ladies! We need a place to get married here in Oklahoma. We want a super small ceremony and reception dinner (20 people). And we don't want it around OKC or else our guest list will snowball. We're going to have a large, nice reception at a later time in OKC. But before that we want a small, intimate ceremony somewhere within 3 hours of Oklahoma City. So... any ideas in the Tulsa, South OK, area? Really anywhere except OKC! Help me out! Big Smile

  • Oh gosh, the possibilities there are endless! You could do a B&B or Gage's in Guthrie, the event center in Medicine Park, a little chapel in Davis/Sulphur Springs in the Arbuckle Mountains, etc etc etc.

Gosh that would be so fun to have a quazi-destination wedding somewhere close. :)

  • It's probably closer to four hours from OKC, but oh my it's gorgeous out by Beaver's Bend in SE OKC. We stayed at this bed and breakfast and loved it. The views were breathtaking: http://www.lagovistabedandbreakfast.com

We also stayed at this B&B once. Also wonderful, though we definitely preferred Lago Vista: http://www.echocanyonmanor.com/

There are several beautiful areas in Guthrie too, like JLimberg said. Or you could go up to Tulsa, or Table Rock Lake in Missouri... lots of options. :)

  • We got married at the Marland Mansion in Ponca City, and I am really glad we chose it as our venue.
  • My coworker's daughter got married at Beaver's Bend...it was GORGEOUS.
