Downtown Miami is a great place to party. It is where many locals go, instead of South Beach where there are mostly tourists. I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell Downtown (http://www.hamptoninnmiamibrickell.com/) that is about a year old, all nice and modern and one block away from Mary Brickell Village (http://www.marybrickellvillage.com/) for all the fun you can have. MBV crowd is mostly of young professionals, so I think you will fit nicely.
