Vegas for a girls' weekend-suggestions?

Hi everyone!

I have been to Vegas a few times but never as part of a girls' weekend. We are headed there in March.  Does anyone have any suggestions for hotels, shows, restaurants, fun activities, etc.?

Thanks!

Re: Vegas for a girls' weekend-suggestions?

  • Girls weekends I have done in Vegas consist of lounging by the pool, gambling, shopping, having fantastic meals, and going to clubs. We try and not plan too much because people's whims change and sometimes we split up since not everyone always wants to do the same thing. Not just with Vegas, but with other trips I have done with friends,

I think if you want to go to a club, going with all girls is the way to go - you can sometimes get deals (I have gotten 2 for 1 bottle offers a few times). The Chandalier Bar at Cosmo is gorgeous and a great place to grab a few drinks. I also love MIX lounge for a great view of the Strip lit up.

My two favorite hotels to stay at are Cosmopolitan and Palazzo. Every room at Palazzo is a suite and I like that the casino is not large, so it's not a far walk to your room. Also since it's connected to the Venetian, you practically get two hotels for one.

  • Ditto the above!! My fave hotels are Palazzo and now the Cosmo as well. Just stayed at the Cosmo last month with my mom & sis and it was fabulous. Loved our suite with a balcony, and yes, the Chandelier Bar is a must!  Another great place for drinks/music is the VooDoo Lounge at the top of the Rio (view!).

You girls should totally check out the Canyon Ranch Spa in the Venetian, it rocked our world!  Just get a day pass and use the Aquavana facilities, trust me :)

I'm not really into the shows much but the Cirque shows are the best ("O" and "Love" are good ones for sure).  If you want to shop, go to the outlets or there's upscale shopping in almost every luxe hotel there.

Make sure you have lunch on the patio of Mon Ami Gabi in the Paris hotel, awesome food and great patio to see and be seen, lol.  Also, the Sunday Champagne Brunch at the Le Village Buffet is ah-mazing!!

  • I got married a couple of weeks ago, and I did a girls weekend in Vegas as my bachelorette.  It really depends what you and your friends like to do.  If clubbing is your thing, than Voodoo Lounge and the bar at the Cosmo are perfect.  We aren't really clubbers, so we stayed away from those places.  We spent days at the pool (but being that it'll be March that probably won't be an option for you), nights at amazing dinners, and wandering the city and drinking throughout the day/night.  Aureola in Mandalay Bay is amazing for dinner.  Definitely hit old Vegas at least one night.  And, the shows are great.  I've seen "O" and wish I got to see "LOVE" while I was there.  It's a fun place to just people watch.  Do yourself a favor and stay close to the center of the strip by Paris, the Bellaggio, Ceasars, etc.  That way, you can see a number of hotels within walking distance.  And, don't go crazy on a hotel room unless you really have the money to spend because you're never in it.  We stayed in the upgraded rooms at the Flamingo.  Very cheap compared to most places in the center of the strip, but the location was perfect, the rooms were great, and we woke up each day to huge windows overlooking the Bellaggio fountains.  One last thing.... we splurged on brunch while we there....  $100 pp.  But, it was so worth.... I think it's at Bally's - the Sterling Brunch.  Lobster tails, caviar, constant free flowing champagne (good stuff), filet mignon, creme brulee, banana's foster, sushi.... you get the idea.  If you're a foodie - it's so worth it.
  • That's right too, as pp mentioned, go to old town Vegas.  Hit up the Fremont Street Experience in the evening, so fun!!
