What are you reading these days?

This week is Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn,
sometimes all you really need in life is a pink wig.

Re: What are you reading these days?

  • I'm reading the 3rd 50 Shades and I would like to do nothing more then stab my eyes out.  Ana is annoying me to no end!  These books are taking me way longer then they should.

I loved Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn so I downloaded her others and will probably read one of them next.

I feel the same!  Never even bothered with the second or third book for that reason!

Ive been reading She's Come undone by Wally Lamb for a while now.  It's old and I picked it up at a library sale a while back since I'd never read it.  Im finding it super depressing (as all of his books seem to be) so its a slow read.

  • I recently read Jack 1939 and really enjoyed that.  Don't remember the author but it's historical fiction based on Jack Kennedy at the onset of WWII.  I also read Kristin Hannah's Home Front about a mom sent to fight in Iraq.  It was a little depressing.  Today I finished Spring Fever by Mary Kay Andrews.  It was okay.  I got the Kristin Hannah book and this book from the library and they were fine for free but I don't think I'd pay for them.  Jack 1939 would have been worth buying (I borrowed from my dad).  Up next is a book from Cathleen Schine that I took from the library.
  • I just finished The Art of Forgetting by Camille Noe Pagan. Was a really great story about 2 childhood friends. Story is about how their friendship changes and how the main character realized that she can spread her wings without her friend!
