Getting to Know You
I'm leaving for vacation on Saturday, and am totally not in work mode. My apologies if I start posting like crazy over the next couple of days

- What was your favorite food when you were a child? I can't recall, but I did eat a lot of Spam. I haven't had it in years, and I don't think you could pay me to eat it now as an adult.
- What?s the #1 most played song on your iPod? Sabotage by the Beastie Boys.
- What?s the best/worst gift you?ve ever given/received? My husband just surprised me with a string of pearls for my birthday that have a little gold bow clasp in the back. They are sooooo not me. Not sure what he was thinking. We just exchanged it for a DSLR. So, worst gift and best gift both received for the same birthday. One Christmas, I surprised my husband (then boyfriend) with a new golf bag and related gifts which he really loved...I don't think I ever gave a 'bad' gift...well, I think giving gift cards kinda suck.
- What do you miss most about being a kid? The feeling that time moved a lot slower. As an adult, I feel like life is flying by.
- What chore do you absolutely hate doing? Laundry. I hate it. I only just started getting into a routine of doing 2-3 loads a week. Before, I would save it for like once a month and it would be an all day event, and I would be miserable.

1. What was your favorite food when you were a child? Cereal. Hands-down. I was a very finicky eater and it was the only thing I enjoyed or would finish.
2. What?s the #1 most played song on your iPod? The Who's Baba O'Reilly
3. What?s the best/worst gift you?ve ever given/received? Given: hiring the Eagles Pep Band as my wedding gift to the husband. He was incredibly shocked. Received: I was handed down my great Aunt Frances' diamond ring for my 15th birthday. It was a few months after her passing. The ring was handed down to Aunt Fran from her mother's and I have worn it every day since then.
4. What do you miss most about being a kid? Playing outdoors, which might explain why I love trail running.
5. What chore do you absolutely hate doing? Cleaning the bathroom, but I always feel better after it is complete.
Can I just say that I Iove cleaning the bathroom? Aside from the fact that it's the smallest room in the house, it's just easy. I don my rubber gloves and basically bleach the crap out of everything and voila! It's done.
Also, I have an issue with the idea of cleaning myself in a room that isn't clean. I neurotically clean the bathroom like every other day...if only I had that dedication for laundry.
1. What was your favorite food when you were a child? Peanut butter and jelly. It could only be creamy peanut butter and grape jelly on white bread with the crusts cut off. Also, a smiley face had to be drawn in the PB before the other slice of bread was added. I was a really picky child.
2. What?s the #1 most played song on your iPod? For some reason, I'm really loving Kingdom Come by Coldplay right now.
3. What?s the best/worst gift you?ve ever given/received? Best gift received: My Nook for Christmas two years ago. I love to read. Worst gift received: My high school boyfriend gave me a stuffed Elmo doll that played the guitar when you pushed has hand for Christmas one year. I have no idea why. I never expressed an affinity for Elmo.
4. What do you miss most about being a kid? Not having to keep a set schedule, lack of responsibility, etc.
5. What chore do you absolutely hate doing? I have to go with cleaning the bathroom as well. I put it off until the last possible second even though I get totally grossed out by the state of it sometimes. I just can't make myself do it.
Best give ever recieved was when I was 12. My parents gave me my own extension of the phone line for my bedroom. It wasn't my own line, but damn if that wasn't a great gift
Best gift given was probably the beer brewing kit I got my H. It's not a regular Mr. Beer one. It's a really nice one. I put a lot of thought into it.
Worst gift given I'm not sure. No one's told me
I've been playing around with this idea for a while, but am not sure if I have the balls to actually go through with it. Can you recommend who did yours? Any feedback on the experiance?
Jennifer Childress did mine. I highly recommend her. It was such a great experience and I was shocked at how good she made me look
I scheduled mine during a marathon of mini-sessions, which she does from time to time.
What was your favorite food when you were a child? this is so gross thinking back on it but cheese and mayo on bread. nothing else. i could vomit just saying that. i don't even eat mayo now.
What?s the #1 most played song on your iPod? anything by coldplay. or the newsies soundtrack bc even 5 months later, i'm still obsessed with the show.
What?s the best/worst gift you?ve ever given/received? hmm. best i'd say was probably my vw cabriolet my mom got me when i got my license. i loved that car and still do. I wish i still had it. Worst - i can't think of anything that I ever got and was like..what the hell?
What do you miss most about being a kid? playing outside with the neighbors and not having a singly worry in the world.
What chore do you absolutely hate doing? eh, i don't really mind cleaning. I never do laundry though. The Dude is super particular about the way his clothes are folded and i just don't have patience for that. so now i don't do it at all!

What was your favorite food when you were a child? Dumplings in chicken gravy, I started eating chicken again, I need to have my mom make it the next time I'm home.

What?s the best/worst gift you?ve ever given/received? Worst recieved: used pedicure set
My brother and I have re-gifted the same chia pet to each other every year for the past 10 years. Best I've recieved so far: Yurman bracelet as a combo bday and baby gift (I didn't ask for a push prize, and hate the term, but I got one and love it).
What do you miss most about being a kid? No worries or responsibilities
What chore do you absolutely hate doing? Cleaning the shower and mopping the floors. Having a house cleaner is the best money I've ever spent.
