October Book Club!

Hello Ladies!!

It is time to vote for our next book to read! Since Halloween is coming up I thought I'd focus on more of the horror/mystery/thriller books but I also added some non-Halloween type books for those that don't enjoy that sort of thing.

Re: October Book Club!

  • I just have to say that Devil in the White City was awesome!  Not quite what I was expecting, but it was great to learn about the Chicago World's Fair and how awesome it must have been to see and how revolutionary it was for the time.  I had to Google photographs of it while reading the book, and I think even today in modern times it would have been awesome to experience, which says a lot because it was 120 years ago.  Throw in a creepy serial killer who actually lived, and what's not to love?

  • I've been wanting to read Devil in the White City for quite some time! I read The Shining a few months ago and didn't find it very scary. However, I did enjoy it. And Steven King has written a sequel to it! It'll be out next year.

By the way...has anyone finished September's book "gone girl"? This has been a terribly slow read for me and haven't read 100 pages yet.

  • Someone at my book club at work just suggested "The Devil in the White City!"
