Anyone near Gateway Center... hostage situation taking place
Be careful!!
"Please be aware that Pittsburgh police are currently trying to negotiate with a man who is making threats on the 16th floor of 3 Gateway Center, Downtown.
Police are trying to block streets and secure other floors of the building. So far, police have closed blocks of Penn Avenue, Commonwealth Place and Boulevard of the Allies. The Gateway Center T station is closed.
Police are evacuating the building, asking people to head toward Point State Park. Officers are also clearing the Gateway Center courtyard."

a co-worker's wife used to work on that floor. She knows the guy being held hostage - apparently he is the owner of the company. His kids work for him as well.

His postings are crazy...anyone else read them? Some of the responses are worse and the police chief said people posting encouraging his behavior could face charges.
My DH works in the Highmark building.
And this might sound terrible.... but can someone get Commissioner Harper some Media training for crying out loud...... he is just horrible sometimes trying to get a complete sentence out of him. :P
