Monday randoms

My weekend was very productive.  We fluffed the mulch and put in some new bags in our flower beds, replaced a mum in our mailbox planter that croaked, planted 2 flats of pansies, fertilized stuff, washed my car, and sorted through B's old clothes.  I feel very accomplished!

Tonight I'm making balsamic chicken with asparagus, tomatoes and mozzarella...with pasta salad and French bread.  I am so excited to eat dinner lol.

Coffee did the trick this morning, and I think I will be consuming a cup of coffee every morning from now on...even if it is disgusting.  I think I'm going to buy some yummy coffee creamer.

  • I'll throw mine in:

    I love Twitter.

I've only seen Keeping Up With The Kardashians a handful of times, and never a full show... but I feel like I can really relate to Khloe. I think we could be awesome friends.

The H is working nights this week - bed to myself! YES!

  • Weekend was good, but Mondays suck. For the 8th week in a row, DH left to work OOT this morning. Once the week gets going it's not too bad (and I do enjoy having the tv to myself and eating whatever I want for dinner), but I don't like Monday. And my weigh in sucked this morning, so I'm cranky today, boo.

Tj---Khloe is my favorite Kardashian! I've always liked her.

ETA: I told DH we need a date night, so we now have one planned for the weekend after next! Yessss.

  • I am way more irritable today than usual.  I am so sick of people p!ss poor planning and the stress it causes everyone around them.

I am excited that we will have good TV once again. Monday is our favorite TV night so I got to work super early so I can leave at a decent hour, then plant my butt on the couch all night long.

Spent all day yesterday holed up in the man room with the hubs watching football, HGTV, and playing with our naughty dogs.  Now I really, really want to retile our bathroom so our subcontractor is stopping by this afternoon to give me an estimate. Without the husband's consent.  We'll see how this plays out....

I know where the 60 pounds my husband lost went...to his sister's butt. Holy Lord, it must be four feet wide. For someone that constantly has a comment about how other people are dressed or how much they weigh, she should consider investing in a full length mirror. And some better jeans. I saw four inches of her crack all day Saturday. Yuck.

  • I basically spent the entire weekend away from my kids. We went with some friends to the fair Friday night, CrossFit Saturday morning, the boys came home for about 2-3 hours in the afternoon and then we took them back to the ILs to stay over night (again) so we could go to the OU game. They went to church with them Sunday morning so I went to brunch with a friend (after church). H and I didn't pick them up until after nap/lunch around 2! So I had such a nice relaxing weekend.. but I feel kind of guilty about how little time I spent with them.

Apparently my trainer would like some of us to start training for the Crossfit games open next year... so it's about to get real.

  • I had a pretty good weekend. Saturday was crazy, so yesterday I slept half the day.. which is rare for me. I think I've also been fighting a small cold or something.

It seems that lately my weeks have been crazy busy, and this week is no exception. Right now I have things I need to do every night this week, and tomorrow night I'm overbooked... I have to attend a work thing, but I also have something else planned. I'm pretty sure it's the work thing that's gonna lose that battle.

  • H told me my belly is currently as big as it was at 40 weeks with Tiny.  I am kind of freaked out (not in a bad way) about how torpedoish I'm going to look at Christmas.  Thank God I already took my maternity pics. Lol.

  • Sorry mine might be a little long:

We went to dinner last night at The Mantle with one of DH's vendors. Almost all of DH's co-workers didn't show. I don't understand that. One of them told DH that he was just too tired. How are you going to pass on a free steak meal? Which by the way was fantastic! I really think this is our new special occassion date night place.

M and I are traveling down south for my nephew's birthday party in less than 2 weeks. I'm a little annoyed because my brother called my mom to ask when the party was (which he knew perfectly well when it was) and then told her that they already planned to go down to visit his wife's family that weekend. He knew M and I were going to be down also. My mom is pretty pissed since she was looking forward to having all of her kids around.

I have been watching the trainwreck that is Honey Boo Boo. I can't stop!

I also really like to watch the wedding dress shows on TLC. Most of those brides don't do their research on picking a dress that fits their body type and they don't listen to the consultants. I get irritated, but I love these shows. I also feel this same way about watching things on HGTV.

I look at houses online almost every day because I just like to see what is out there on the market. I am really astonished by how these people don't know how to fix up a room before taking a picture. I mean one house had all of their dirty laundry on the floor of their laundry room. You couldn't just move the laundry out to the hall first before you took the picture?

  • A movie (August, Osage County) is filming in my itty bitty town (424 people according to the last census) this week. Huge stars like George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Ewan McGregor, etc are around. Do you know how crazy this is for the town? I see people on Facebook talking about stalking the stars and whatnot and it makes me crazy... Since the filming location is only a couple of blocks from my house, I hope the stalkers stay away!

And, in the same breath as all of that... If I see one of them hanging around, I'm not going to lie... I might be tempted to snap a picture.

This was me when they were filming scenes from Pearl Harbor near us a long time ago. Josh Hartnett and Ben Affleck were seen golfing and jogging around town. Although if I saw Ewan McGregor IRL I don't know what I would do. He's on my list.

If I had seen Josh Hartnett jogging around my neighborhood at the time Pearl Harbor was filming, I would have been arrested for assault.

    ...this might still be true.
